Applicant should answer that the process starts from receiving orders from its customers, production schedules, blueprints, shipping and receiving notices to determine work sequence and to track the targets to be met. And ensure shipping dates are met, types, volumes and destinations are proper to where goods are being transported.

Do you have any ideas for process re-engineering?

Applicant should demonstrate his creativity and innovative thinking skills and should say that sure, there can be a possibility of process re-engineering in future, but before that would like to understand the production processes, knowledge of raw materials, quality control, costs and techniques used for maximizing the profits and effective distribution of goods and services. With all the knowledge and given a time for analysis am sure I would be able to draw a better cost effective process map.

You are handling a team of drivers in road transport system, what are the main things you want to check with your team for smooth flow of work?

As a supervisor for a team of drivers in road transport, I would regularly ensure that my team follows appropriate safety procedures while transporting goods.

Check the vehicles before driving them to ensure, mechanical, safety and emergency equipment are in good condition. Obtain signatures and receipts when loads are delivered and collect appropriate payments for the same. Maintain logs of working hours of employees and vehicle service and repair status. Maneuver truck into loading and unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed. Secure cargo for transport using chains, ropes, blocks, binders and covers.
