What are the most important skill sets that trainer should posses in any organization?
As a trainer, it’s important that he/she posses good command over English and has good communication skills, presentation skills, stage control, good content and knowledge on the product, influencing and negotiating skills.
Why Trainer required in any Organization and what is trainer’s role in the company?
For any organization to run successfully, it’s highly important that their employee’s posses all the skill sets required and are efficient in their respective roles. So, here comes the training to enhance the employee’s skill sets. This is the major role any Trainer will play in an organization. Trainer is required to train all the employees periodically and to ensure that all the employees are up to the mark and are meeting the company’s expectations in delivering the results.
As a Trainer, what career growth would you expect from an organization?
In this case, applicant should answer that he/she would like to be a Training Manager or a Vice President for Training department five – ten years down the line. And he/she would like to train the Trainers on how to train employee’s effectively and would do a coverage check for each department as to if all the employees have undergone the necessary training or not, if so co-coordinating with the management for the same.
As a trainer, what are the steps you would undertake to make the long training session not boring to the employees?
Applicant should answer that as a trainer, its important that he/she gets a good stage control of the class and make sure all the employees are highly attentive to the session. He/She can use brain storming or any team building activities to get the team going. She/He needs to come up with innovative learning team game to make the employees highly interactive in the session.
As a Trainer, what are the benefits he/she could see by making the team highly interactive?
Candidate here should demonstrate his resource utilization skills by talking about it. As a Trainer…it’s a very good decision to get the team talking and making them highly interactive as usually employee’s from different departments get to attend one session together, so trainer should use this opportunity and make the employees speak about their day to day problems and make them understand each other. By this time, the rest of the team can come up with suggestions and feedback for those two employees who were interacting. By doing this Trainer is tactfully solving the current faced problem by employee’s itself. It’s a very intelligent way to make the training fruitful to their work related problems.
What is that Trainer should never forget before ending the session and how is it useful?
Applicant should answer that as a Trainer, he/she should never forget to get the feedback form fill up from her attendee’s. This is the most critical part for her/him to learn from that session. This will be useful for trainer’s learning and their growth path. It will also give you an idea as to how much her employee’s have understood and identified their problems related to work and how much they are going to implement back in their work. This feedback will help in business operations.
What are the different methods you could use in training employees?
Strategic Training, where no traditional power point presentations/charts and markers are used. This training is given by using different strategies and just making people interactive and talk about their problems and giving feedback through fish bone or video coverage. This is a modern method of training used in big companies

How do you ensure all the employees in your company get trained regularly?
As a Trainer, it’s her/his responsibility to ensure full coverage of the company in various departments. Trainer needs to send mail to all the department heads and process managers and do a regular follow up with them on the percentage of employees who have got trained and rest percentage that needs to get trained. It’s also important to check the database from the HR records periodically to know how many employees resigned and how many new joinnee’s we have.
Have you done anything besides traditional corporate seminars?
Yes, I have take mentoring program, cross training, peer training, internet training apart from my traditional training and holding seminars. Am very creative in this field and would want to pursue my professional development in this field by getting exposed to various training sessions. Am a constant learner. I have also been trained by my previous organization’s Vice President and I have purchased lot of cd’s and I have done self learning. Basically whatever I do, I make the course or intervention so valuable because it helps to contribute to the bottom line for my personal skill sets.
