2009 – Present

AAG TV (Geo Television Network)

Senior Producer

• Looking after a team of seven Producers and producing content for all the live shows on AAG TV. Designing campaigns, concepts for Fillers, Channel Ids and almost everything happening at our channel.
• Currently working on launching first Youth News Bulletin of Pakistan.
• Senior Producer – SAMAA Television, Karachi
• Writing and producing the weekly news-based satire show ‘Sunday Kay Sunday’ in tandem with a team of three other producers. Hosted the ‘Jinnah Files’ segment in the show, with reports on some of the less-reported stories in our country, such as the thriving Fortune Telling Industry of Karachi, the trend of using government cars for personal use, the efficacy of the lawyers’ movement etc.
• Coordinating and lining up prominent political personalities for the show. Our guests have included Nisar Khuro (Speaker Sindh Assembly),  (contact details removed) Abbas Rizvi (Political leader and Senetor), Munir A Malik (Lawyers Leader) to name a few.
• Produced segments for the show and shot several promos, including the composite promo and radio ads for the show.
• Picking out interesting and off-beat stories and re-writing them with a humorous spin.

2007 – 2009

PLAY TV and AAJ TV of the Recorder Group

Senior Producer

• Script-writing for several shows such as NewsPlay and nearly all VJ-based shows. Also looked after copy for all main campaigns, promos and special projects.
• Ran Four campaigns, including Play Your Vote, So Cool Summer, Inspiratourium and Ramadan Premier League.
• Conceived the ‘Zarrar Force’ in collaboration with the team of the 4-Man Show. Worked closely with the team on developing content and designing new, spin-off shows for team members, such as ‘Jutt, Butt and Yo!’
• Responsible for screening shows and general quality control.

2005 – 2007

AAG TV and GEO NEWS of the Geo Television Network

Producer

• Hosted the landmark hidden-camera show ‘Gumnaam’, and worked closely with the producers on show content and presentation.
• Produced and Directed several shows for AAG TV including Lafunga: The Flop Aadmi; Ember’s Limelight and most other VJ-based shows.
• Worked closely with the top execs on content development and responsible for channel copy and scripting in general

Kolachi Films

• Wrote scripts for three telefilms, a sitcom and a drama series.
• Additionally assisted with editorial functions including final editing.

• Directed and produced several VJ-based shows, and conducted a one-on-one talk show with Several actors, directors and politicians.
