  • Answering emergency calls through the ‘care alarm’ system for elderly and vulnerable people.
  • Assessing the nature of the call and identifying the appropriate response.
  • This includes contacting emergency services, GPs or Key Holders where required.
  • Attending these calls and aiding clients who may have fallen or be in need of medical care.
  • Managing the day to day work load of a team of visiting officers and ensuring that there rota is covered in light of leave or sickness.
  • Being the first point of contact for emergency social services and dealing with requests from external organisations, such as the Police or Hospitals, for appropriate adults, mental health assessments, emergency housing or any other issues which may arise.
