Quality Control Inspector

2005 to Present

  • Working at this major manufacturer of Snack Foods. I am responsible for several of the Food Processing Machines including Frying, Flavouring and Mixing Machines.
  • Duties involved ensuring that the frying machines temperature settings were correct, the speed of the operation was set and that the raw products were properly prepared and sorted for processing, carrying out both density and moisture tests and flavour adjustments to the clients specifications.
  • The product would then pass through an agitation process to remove excess oils, before having the appropriate flavour added.
  • My core responsibilities included checking the required orders to ensure that quantities and the products matched the customer requirements, and ensuring high standards in a strict Health and Hygiene Food environment.
  • Other tasks included notification of machine breakdowns and liaison with maintenance engineers to minimize disruption to production. I have also worked on the End of Line.
  • This role demonstrates my ability to work well in pressure situations, monitoring the production process and working within strict Health and Hygiene Food Standards, whilst meeting strict delivery schedules.
  • This role has enabled me to use my skills in training others in the various methods and procedures involved. I also attend the process improvement meetings.
