Military Training Instructor – MPC North

  • At MPC North my responsibilities include teaching 14 – 18 year olds various subjects from the Scheme of Work which include the following.
  • Key Skills (various), MATS, Map Reading, ICT, Equality and Diversity, Equal Opportunities and Awareness, Literacy and Numeracy, responsible for their reviews, initial assessments, programme plans all completed on their e2e passport.
  • Organising residential and non residential enrichment activities through different Military agencies.
  • Help and support through their application to the Forces. Liasing with AFCO, ACIO, Youth Offending, Various schools, Care workers and the LSC.

Feb 2005- Jun 2007

Regional Security Manager Aegis Defence Services Northern Region:

  • Responsible for all the Operational assets within the Northern Region which includes personnel, vehicles, equipment, and weaponry.
  • Making sure the team are at a high state of readiness to deploy with personnel from the USA State Department, Provisional Reconstruction Team and various high ranking Military Officers.
  • Stand in for the Operations Officer when on vacation.
  • This entailed running the operations room for Northern Iraq.
  • Responsible for 157 personnel which included Operational contractors as well as office staff.
