Career Achievements

• My work with R/R was over a period of 20yrs and I travelled extensively visiting many countries from the Falkland Islands in the South Pacific to most of the countries in Africa plus Mongolia, Australia, to mention a few, some of my work was with power generation and some was with crude oil and product pipelines also major installations
• The Sudan pipeline , I was the makers representative for the North East of England for the Royal Navy and the fleet auxiliary plus the merchant navy which had R/R equipment onboard and have worked aboard H.M.S. Ark Royal, H.M.S. Ocean, Sir Galahad, Black Rover etc.

Senior Mechanical Advisor

• To the new Baku-Tablisi-Ceyhan pipeline running from Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey to Ceyhan marine terminal on the Mediterranean sea, my position as above is to advise four chief engineers at the pumping stations along the length of the pipeline on day to day maintenance and all other mechanical problems whether it be hydraulics or general maintenance, warranty issues and compiling the claims on their behalf, also punch list items, p.t.w. stop cards, (asa ) etc,
• Daily and weekly reports were compiled and sent to the head office at Ceyhan oil terminal.
• I also instructed all new comers to the site on a day to day basis as to walk downs and line flows plus identification of site equipment whether it be new H.S.E. personnel or anyone who they request to attend.
• I have an itinerary of mechanical technicians who I take for pre – ops assessments as to their ability on the site and submit their individual assessments to our training department at the head office in Ceyhan
• I visit the b/vs along the pipeline and inspect the hydraulics plus general b/v station condition as they are in remote locations, the station technicians are always in attendance.

• In the field and some times office based in Khartoum on the Sudan pipeline running from the Red sea to Heglig (oil basin) in the south of Sudan, my duties as an ex R/Royce engineer with a wealth of experience on the Sudan pipeline ( installation and commission) as all site equipment was of R/Royce manufacture.
• Petrofac gained the new contract from R/Royce and I decided to move from R/R as the rotation was 90 days for each duty, petrofac 28-28.
• My duty while working with Petrofac was that of a team leader in the field involved with a roving commission of the pipeline supervision of repairs and inspection of equipment from prime movers (engines) 16 cyl V type and all auxiliary equipment along the pipeline. ( gas engines ) Bergen- 12 cyl 18 cyl 16 cyl Wartsila 18 cyl -generators gearboxes ( Novo Pignoni) (Wear pumps) M.o.vs. ro-torque actuators Mokevelde ball valves.

• Vendor Working extensively overseas on major projects up to a capital value of 20 million sterling on some installations .
• Shipyards, power stations, gas plants, pipelines etc, diesel generators manufactured by my company up to 6 Mw per unit and approximately 120 tons in weight.
• Steam turbines up to 50 Mw, large pumps for the power stations which can pump 30 tons of cooling water per minute ( reactor cooling ) pipelines and their equipment in general as explained earlier in the resume I have worked on inspection.
• Dye penetrant and magnetic particle testing these were in my scope of work in engineering while travelling the world with R/Royce for twenty years.
• I have worked in Nigeria for N.N.P.C. on behalf of R/Royce for 6yrs on the pipeline from Port Harcourt to Abuja maintaining the Novo Pignoni and Wear pumps along the pipeline and all of the R/Royce equipment.
• I have worked in the Aershan oil fields of Inner Mongolia and oil India, plus India oil, and was on the installation and commissioning team on the start up and operations of the Sudan pipeline.
