  • My research within the University of  (contact details removed) has enabled me to become proficient in broad number of biological research techniques including tissue culture, microscopy and imaging, transfection procedures, cloning (including adenoviral design, construction and use), western blotting and proteomics.
  • I have previously held a home office personal licence and carried out regulated procedures necessary for my studies.
  • My university research together with my experience at Cray Valley Ltd has ensured that I have learnt good time and project management skills in addition to excellent communication skills, via both written reports and oral presentations.

  • I am regularly involved with day-to-day supervision of students within my group and from other laboratories.
  • During my PhD studies I was heavily involved with demonstrating for Pharmacology and Toxicology practical classes (BSc and MSc) and regularly lead the associated tutorials in addition to marking practical reports.
  • I took part in a very successful stand at TechFest ( (contact details removed)’s annual Science and Technology Festival)  during which I gave demonstrations on the topic of bone structure, health and disease to groups of primary school children.
