Warehouse Supervisor

  • My main duties included the supervision of 4 staff, the day to day running of a busy distribution warehouse and the supervision of a sheet metal production area within the company structure.
  • The majority of my work was administrative duties and this could involve anything from producing purchase orders and despatch notes to completing stock adjustments and write offs.
  • I also had a lot of customer interaction within the job role as i had to chase outstanding orders from british suppliers as well as overseas suppliers.
  • General warehouse duties were too supervised and this involved goods in, despatch, stock management and general housekeeping.
  • I would have liked to get involved more with the sheet metal production area but due to the time frain of my employment this was not at all possible, but i did manage to undertake a vast amount of different duties and i gave my upmost to these duties.
  • I have gained valuable knowledge and experience from my time at Chase Hardware and these experiences will stand me in good stead for future employment.

T-T Pumps Ltd, Cheshire

Warehouse Manager

  • Booking in of goods, forklift truck duties, housekeeping and the despatch of goods from our warehouse.
  • In February 2006 i was promoted to warehouse Manager and placed in charge of all warehouse duties and departmental staff.
  • My work required liasing and assisting internal and external sales representatives with stock enquiries for example Pump Technology Selection.
  • I also had to work very closely with the purchasing department as at any one time we were holding just over £1 million of stock.
  • There was quite a varied amount of customer interaction as we had a trade counter where tradesmen and public alike could purchase our products and this in turn bought my customer service skills out to the forefront and this is one part of my role which i thrived on and enjoyed.
  • My other duties included working with my team of warehouse colleagues, developing training programmes for each individual and producing an effective and efficient department.
  • I was successful in achieving my own personal management goals as many of my team players were praised for their work from other departmental heads, and for me having this successful team had massive advantages as any such group could cope under pressure and work well in many different challenges.
