  • Responsible for the planning and oversight of maintenance periods, including the Ship’s major refit period, ensuring that all known defects were collated and achieved.
  • Carried out the duties of whole ship lifting equipment record keeper, ensuring that all plants and portable equipment remained in date for examinations and tests.
  • Performed the task of the Ship’s maintenance and defect database administrator, ensuring that accurate records were maintained for audit by external authorities.
  • Diligently carried out the duties as departments Health and Safety warden, carrying out inspections, assessments (Risk, COSHH, Manual Handling, DSE) obtaining a best practice commendation from an external authority.
  • Carried out duties of Officer of the Day, acting as the Commanding Officer’s
  • representative in his absence, responsible for the overall safety of the Ship and crew.
