Traffic Management Co-ordinator

Employed by Thames Water

  • Liaising with local authorities, other highways agencies and external bodies

to ensure all works are charged correctly and are carried out in a timely and safe manner and conform to NRSWA regulations.

  • Carrying out administration functions ensuring section 14(1) and section 14(2)

of the Road Traffic Act are dealt with within time constraints and all agencies

such as police , TFL , and local authorities are fully aware especially in cases

of emergencies.

  • Resolving queries and complaints in a quick and informed manner; always

working through projects and tasks to their conclusions.

  • Constantly reviewing processes and procedures to always seek improvement

for all our stakeholders whether internal or external.

  • Applying for various types of suspensions, bays, traffic light switch-outs, bus

  • A small newspaper delivery business with a customer base of 700 covering the Whetstone, Finchley, Woodside Park and Barnet areas. 7 day operation 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekly turnover roughly 2.7K to 3K.
  • Co-ordination of ten rounds, including the organising of all drivers, ensuring cover for absences, accounts, wages, keeping customer data up to date. Dealing also with large distributors. Administering returns. Ensuring correct number of papers ordered. Ensuring delivery targets of 7.30 a.m. are met. General responsibility for smooth running of business and customer as well as driver satisfaction. It goes without saying that this job requires hard work, punctuality, flexibility, willingness to meet challenges which can arise on the spot with the associated ability to think on one’s feet.

Featuring all day breakfast, home made specialities including low fat and Atkins menus, selection of coffees and smoothies, beautiful selection of hot and cold sandwiches on baguettes, ciabatta and other breads, plus a la carte dining.
