Looking for a challenging position of the Law Librarian in the reputed company with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.
Skills
- Recently passed exams in News writing for the NCTJ National Counsel for the training of Journalists and awaiting result for my portfolio of articles and features.
- I am a published journalist with many of my articles being published online and in magazines such as (contact details removed) Life magazine and my local newspaper The Sentinel.
- Recently published a book as part of my course entitled : Letters to Africa all the proceeds will eventually go to charity and it was a very enjoyable and educational experience for me.
- I have taught English Lessons in Primary schools in Kenya which has helped me build on my confidence and public speaking.
- I enjoy writing fiction in my spare time and was part of a creative writing group at University.

- Provision of high level enquiries services primarily for Adelaide fee earners in affiliate office of National law firm, using online legal databases including LexisNexis, Westlaw, Thomson Reuters, CCH, TimeBase, Lawlex (Lawtel equivalent)
- Working with General Manager and National Library Manager to evaluate subscriptions and finalise Adelaide library budget
- Processing of orders and renewals, and invoices for library expenses, and cataloguing acquisitions using MOYS Classification system
- Communicating and discussing national library issues with national library team using Sharepoint wiki, including issues of training, service level delivery, and promotion of the library and it’s services
- Training all Adelaide office staff in library, precedents, ISO/LAW9000 Quality Assurance requirements, and organized publisher training sessions for Adelaide staff
- Media monitoring for select clients for fee earners using AFR, Westlaw, Google alerts and Outlook templates
- Administering and conducting the ISO9001/LAW9000 internal audits for the Adelaide office to ensure compliance with Standard for risk management within firm

- During my time at Piper Alderman I was involved in creating service level agreements and a business plan for the library and library team. I was also involved in administering the Deeds and Securities register.
