  • Implemented one of three multi-threaded, database-intensive services on Windows comprising supporting software for M1000 Memory Tester.
  • Designed and developed a C-like language and its compiler for precisely expressing commands to a VLIW processor embedded in a DDR-II SDRAM memory tester. This critical tool was developed using flex and bison to run under Linux/PPC 405 as well as Windows/cygwin.

Compiler Engineer

  • Initiated and led project to modernize the CodeWarrior IRO by incorporating a Static Single-Assignment (SSA) phase within it to enable powerful, new optimizations such as partial redundancy elimination and value numbering to be implemented.
  • Collaborated with Metrowerks, Switzerland to seamlessly integrate a three-address, SSA-based compiler with CodeWarrior’s tree-based IR as a proof-of-concept.
  • Tuned the compile-time and code quality performance of the SSA-based compiler to minimize the overhead of conversion to SSA Form.
