  • Consistently good examination results.
  • Following a science training course relating to data logging that I had planned and delivered, all disciplines within the department have included lessons that require the use of electronic data capture techniques.
  • I ran a training course to which up to 20 members of staff attended, many of whom achieved a RSA recognised award for ICT.
  • I planned and ran a database training course for students from Manchester Metropolitan University.

IT Lecturer

  • Subjects taught include ICT Functional Skills Level 1 and 2, ICT Key Skills Level 1 and 2, Key Skills Communication Level 1 and 2.
  • I was responsible for leadership of Level 1 Introductory Diploma in ICT. Special educational needs students taught included deaf, dyslexic, Autism and ADHD.
  • My duties encompassed student assessment, internal verification, writing course materials, administering and tracking assessment, tutoring, interviewing, student discipline, meeting targets, implementing departmental and course action plans.
  • Other subjects taught included Database, Web Design, Information Systems, Digital Devices and Graphics. The awarding body is BTEC and the qualifications are National Diploma.

2006 -2007

Work-based Liaison Officer Prison (Secondment)

Northbrook College

  • My job entailed building learning pathways for offenders into mainstream education through to the community.
  • I worked with external organisations such as Job Seekers, Nextsteps, prison and probation services.
  • I also worked a 0.3 of this secondment in the Flexible Learning Centre delivering and moderating European Community Driving Licence (ECDL).

2005 – 2006

Information Learning Technology (ILT) Developer (Secondment)

  • Responsible for raising awareness of ILT across the college, developing and delivering ILT staff training and online courses, managing the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), investigating emerging information communication technologies, courses and resources.
