  • Led the acquisition of a fleet of tank containers which immediately put Unitas in the top ten tank container lessors worldwide
  • Planned and led the structuring and negotiation of $100m of the group’s debt and investor financing
  • Acted as Operation Director for 6 months, leading both finance and operations teams
  • Upgraded accounting system twice and led choice and implementation of global container fleet management system. Negotiated and oversaw transfer of accounting processes to third-party service providers in India

  • Lead role in evaluating acquisitions, including due diligence, negotiation & integration of new fleets. Unites completed $250m of new acquisitions in my time there
  • Financial / commercial advice to the rest of the executive team, including the CEO and senior members of the Operations and Marketing teams – this advice was principally concerned with maximization of future revenue and profits in line with company and investor requirements. Much of this advice was provided in a time-pressured, fast-moving environment
  • Prime contact with external professional services e.g. auditors (Deloitte), lawyers and banks (RBS, HSBC)
