• Having accepted a permanent job after impressing as a placement student, he was offered the opportunity to add network management to his previous responsibilities. This added responsibility includes maintaining the site’s current network infrastructure as well as playing a key part in the creation of a UK wide corporate network.
• This SC cleared and network based role includes maintaining, configuring and installing Cisco network routers and switches on a daily basis; troubleshooting network problems; overseeing the installation of any new fibre optic and CAT6 cabling, and specifying and purchasing network equipment based on business requirements.
• He was involved in numerous projects including leading the deployment of a site wide wireless visitor network. Also configured equipment used in a new UK corporate network, including the routing setup of the MPLS connection using BGP.
