2005 to Present.

  • Initial design of a prototype PXI Instrumentation card to evaluate patent pending embedded reed technology.
  • Designed a low cost “High Density Multiplexer” card, beating competitor’s specifications, and board design.
  • Primary design engineer on the LXI system project, with responsibility for all electronic designs. · PCI to PCI Bridge cards using Intel & bridge chips.
  • 7 slot backplane for propriety LXI system following LXI/PXI specifications. · Designed a versatile motherboard for all future LXI solutions, using Compulab’s Intel XScale processor card.
  • Design of a PC104+ module control board for all future LXI relay products. Design of LXI Power Sequencer.
  • Responsible for the schematics, PCB layout, and communication protocol.
  • The design was based around a Microchip PIC16F59 microcontroller, communicating with the host via the serial port.

  • CAD design using Zuken Visula ­ Schematics, PCB Layout, and Route Editor. Hardware and software designs for a customer information display for taxi cabs.
  • C programming for Microchip PIC16F874 microcontroller, using IAR embedded workbench. Implemented I2C communication between computer host and PIC microcontroller via the VGA DDC interface, and the microcontroller I2C engine.
  • Serial communication with various Vacuum Fluorescent Display Modules. Design of passive and bridge backplanes for single board computers that complied with PICMG PCI-PCI Bridge Board Specifications.
  • Develop test applications using C and Visual Basic. Windows C Programming ­ maintaining and enhancing software, and DLLs. Sourcing of components, and communicating with distributors.
  • Firm grasp of the company’s engineering procedures.
  • Plan test procedures and develop test software for various projects. Contributed in the design, and testing of the Mobile Data Terminal (MP5 and DAC) system for vehicles.
