Engineering Manager South

• The overall engineering management of the company’s southern depots comprising of;
• Two operational garages (fleet sizes 86 and 34 respectively)
• The company central engineering works, the services of which provide M.O.T inspection and preparation for all 340 company vehicles which are then presented for annual M.O.T test at the in house VOSA DP test lane. This facility also deals with all major unit changes for the company.
• The fleet refurbishment team who undertake full interior and exterior refits of company vehicles at predetermined intervals, and as required by changes in business needs.
• Produce service and maintenance plans for both depot fleets that exceed VOSA minimum requirements to include vehicle inspections, servicing, preventative maintenance and cleaning regimes.
• Provide effective fleet management at morning run out and evening run in through my supervisors and their teams.
• Ensure that the company twice daily PVR (Peak Vehicle Requirement) is met using correct vehicle brand/type.
• Deliver on Key Performance Indicators through proactive management of an engineering team comprising 3 assistant managers, head of coach building, vehicle inspectors, departmental supervisors, vehicle allocator and skilled, semi skilled and un-skilled engineering staff.
