- Utilised BAE’s MRP system SAP R13.
- Most work consisted of design of welded and machined parts / assemblies.
- I was the group TDP checker to BS8888.
- Conducted UG training on NX 4 at BAE’s Submarine plant in Barrow.

Senior Designer. Unigraphics (NX2)
- Design and design modification of Premium Class aircraft seating products using Unigraphics NX2 CAD system and Teamcenter Engineering V9.
- Trained in Unigraphics NX3. Utilised BE’s MRP software JDE. Design consisted mostly of composite (RI and RTM), machined, injection molded and plastic vacuumed formed parts. Was also involved in the design of assembly verification jigs.
- Other duties included UG mentoring, non conformance dispositions and general assembly problem solving.

Senior Designer. Unigraphics (NX1 and NX2)
- Mechanical design of fighting vehicles using Unigraphics CAD system.
- Duties included new designs, design changes and drawing updates. Creation of weld assembly drawings for heavy steel and aluminium parts.
- Design and drawing checking. Utilized BAE’s product control system (EDICS) and Teamcenter Engineering V9.1.
- Unigraphics NX2 training was provided.
- Worked to ISO, EN & BS standards including BS8888 Technical Product Specification.
- Trained on BAE’s new product control system – SAP R13.

Husky Injection Molding Systems
Designer. Unigraphics (NX1 and NX2)
- Mechanical design of large tonnage Injection Molding machines.
- These machines are used for the production of large plastic components such as car bumpers.
- The bulk of these machines consisted of large castings for which detail drawings had to be produced. Extensive use of UG IMAN and Baan (Husky’s Project Control System)

Smiths Aerospace
Designer. Unigraphics (V18 and NX 1)
- Mechanical design of an Electrical Distribution Unit for a large military contract.
- This unit comprises of a machined aluminum frame and plastic cover to secure and house various electronic components.
- Knowledge of machining and plastic molding processes were required for this project.
- I was involved in this project from conceptual design through prototype stage to the completion of production drawings.
- I was also involved in the design of surrounding composite components (mostly fuselage frames) with other suppliers.
- I was also trained in the use of UG-NX and UG-E/Pak (Unigraphics Circuit Board Tracking Program). Extensive use of IMAN. Security clearance was required for this position.
