Severn Trent PLC

2003 to 2005

  • In my first summer vacation as an undergraduate I was contracted to an ever going problem that existed between two key databases at Severn Trent PLC.
  • Each account detail had to be transferred from one database to another manually resulting in many human errors and frequent inter-departmental meetings to resolve these problems.
  • I initiated a standardization macro procedure which solved this problem and most importantly provided Severn Trent with a system that continues to satisfy their operational needs.
  • This role enhanced my problem solving abilities by carefully analyzing the problem situation and implementing a solution that can be used by everyone.
  • By collecting requirements from various colleagues, I enhanced my team working and communication skills.
