Health Care Assistant

  • I am currently working as a Health Care assistant on a ward were I care for patients who have cancer, were they come to us for end of life care.
  • My general duties are maintaining patient’s privacy and dignity at all times and supporting them and their families.
  • Other duties include taking samples for analyse, regular observations, maintaining care plans and updating patient’s notes. We work very closely with the doctors and other members of the care team to ensure the best working practice, whilst working under the data protection act.
  • We also receive regular training and updating with manual handling and training on new equipment.
