Looking for a challenging position of the Education Administrative Assistant in the reputed company with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the organization.

Skills

  • Over time I have developed a number of key skills that would be useful within a working environment:
  • Team worker – Achieved through my involvement in activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh award and my participation within numerous musical groups.
  • Gained through academic and extra-curricular activities for example as leader of the Newport Music Centre Senior Windsymphonia and my school wind band which involved having extra responsibilities.
  • These include a good knowledge of computer software and numerical and verbal abilities obtained through my work experience and modules taken throughout my university course.

Career Achievements

  • Member of the Greater Gwent Senior Windsymphonia which involved going through an audition process against a number of musicians from the South Wales region.
  • I began taekwon-do in my first year of university and have progressed quickly through the belts as well as competing in a number of competitions.
  • To complete the award I had to do a number of tasks which included attending a gym regularly, weekly clarinet lessons and assisting with the running of a local Brownie pack.
  • I also completed an expedition which involved camping and navigating in a small team under difficult conditions.

2000-2002

  • This is a one year full time voluntary placement with a small environmental charity assisting in the development of educational programmes and materials and providing practical support to the education staff.
  • My role includes leading school groups in various activities such as stream studies, pond dipping, orienteering, survival skills and teambuilding games.
  • I also assist with the general administrative work of the trust including arranging meetings, answering the phone,
  • Dealing with queries, sending out appropriate forms or leaflets and maintaining the trust’s paperwork.

Opus International Consultants (UK) Ltd

1996-1998

  • This was a full-time job working 40 hours a week for Opus International Consultants, an international consultancy for infrastructure, architecture,
  • Construction, water, environment, asset development and management solutions.
  • My role involved assisting senior and principal engineers with numerous tasks including production and delivery of bids for projects and commissions.
  • Other general responsibilities included covering the switchboard during absences, assisting in the production of invoices and pay slips as well as general administrative tasks such as binding, photocopying and filing.
