Administration & Employment Advisor

  • I am currently employed on an 18 month fixed term appointment and work in a busy branch of Job centre plus dealing with the public face to face and making decisions regarding their benefit entitlement.
  • For three days of the week I have roughly forty appointments a day in which I work closely with each individual to improve employment prospects.
  • I also assess if strict eligibility requirements are met by the customer.
  • I resolve any customer queries and make decisions about referring customers for help and advice from other agencies working in line with the job centre.
  • I undertake job matching with the customer and assess suitability to each role. I contact employers and identify any barriers to work.

  • Through a registered NHS System called ESR would use private information when dealing with case Management files, investigations and disciplinary administration procedures.
